Australian Observer has been alerted to the plight of Iggy Kim, an outstanding young violinist studying at the Sydney Conservatorium, who suffered massive head injuries in a hit-and-run accident while riding his pushbike. Iggy's colleagues have mounted a campaign to raise $50,000 needed so that Iggy can undergo extensive treatment to his jaw, teeth, and facial tissue.
The main event of this campaign will be a fantastic concert in the Vegbrugghen Hall at the Sydney Conservatorium on Thursday 23 April from 7.30pm. The programme will include performances by over 100 musicians who are all giving their services to Iggy's cause. If you have not been to the Con since its extensive rebuilding was completed then this is the evening to see the spectacular results of the work and to help a worthy effort at the same time.
